June 27th, 2008 — Audrea, Brian, Dad, Joshua, Lisa, Logkman, Matin, Mikhail, Mom
Sorry been too long since the last update.
Brian, Lisa and Joshua have moved back to Singapore just before Chinese New Year 2008. We are missing all friends and family in Sydney.
Joshua misses Gumnut Cottage very much and all his teachers and friends. However he is doing well at Julia Gabriel here in Singapore.
We have also recently celebrated Mikhail’s 3rd Birthday. It was a great time and good catchup with all the extended family. Martin enjoyed getting his fingers stuck into Mike’s birthday cake during the candle blowing!
The Lings have also came back from their recent family trip to Bintan Indonesia. The grandchildren especially Mikhail and Joshua had a ball of a time at the beach and pool.
Pictures will be up soon, do stay tune!
September 14th, 2007 — Joshua
Joshua is a happy and exhausted 2 year old today. He celebrated his birthday with his day care friends this afternoon. but was a little overwhelm with all the attention. After that he had dinner with mom, dad, po-po, ee-ee and nat nat. After dinner he came home and opened all his presents creating a huge and fun mess.
He sends his love and thanks to everyone that give him a birthday present.
September 7th, 2007 — Joshua
Last night was significant first. I was reading Joshua a bedtime story of Thomas and his trains. During one chapter James laments that Trevor was getting broken up at the scrap yard and kept on saying “What a shame, what a shame.”
Suddenly Joshua asks me his first ever question about a word and I’m sure will not be his last, “Daddy, what’s shame?”
I was momentary stunned. Firstly I had never expected it, and secondly I totally did not know how to reply him.
“Ah, it’s something people say when they feel bad.” I’m not sure if he understood and I felt a little stupid. But he looked at me for a moment, and then turned the page for me.
What a shame?
